The complex includes a new fire station for the Canning Fire Department, Village of Canning administration offices, a community hall, boardroom, exercise room and a full kitchen. The complex also houses a generator and serves as an emergency community comfort centre.

The fire department now has a modern facility all on one level. The new station now has enough space for 52 firefighters.
